Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati – Brahmaputra Sunset Cruise

  • Arrive at Guwahati Airport (GAU) or the Railway Station, where our representative will warmly welcome you.
  • Transfer to your hotel, check in, and refresh yourself after the journey.
  • In the afternoon, take a ferry across the Brahmaputra River to visit Umananda Temple, located on Peacock Island—the smallest inhabited river island in the world. Look out for the rare Golden Langurs here!
  • Towards the evening, enjoy a magical Sunset Cruise on the Brahmaputra River, taking in beautiful riverside views as the sun dips below the horizon.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Guwahati.

Day 2: Guwahati – Cultural Sightseeing – Drive to Kaziranga National Park

  • After breakfast, visit the hilltop Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hill, one of the oldest and most revered Shakti Peethas in India, to seek blessings.
  • Proceed to the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, a grand cultural institution showcasing the diverse art, heritage, and dance forms of Assam.
  • After lunch, check out and begin a scenic drive through the plains of Assam to the world-famous Kaziranga National Park (approx. 4 hours).
  • Check into your wildlife resort near the park and enjoy a relaxing evening.
  • Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 3: Kaziranga – Wildlife Safaris & Orchid Park

  • Start with an exhilarating early morning Elephant Safari in the central range of the park to spot the prehistoric Indian One-horned Rhinoceros at close range.
  • Return to the resort for breakfast, then visit the Kaziranga National Orchid and Cultural Park to see hundreds of rare orchid species and watch traditional Assamese folk dance performances.
  • In the afternoon, embark on an exciting open jeep Jeep Safari into the Western or Eastern range for wildlife viewing (elephants, wild water buffaloes, swamp deer, and exotic birds).

Day 4: Kaziranga – Scenic Drive to Shillong via Umiam Lake

  • Enjoy breakfast at the resort, check out, and begin your journey up into the rolling hills of Meghalaya toward Shillong (approx. 6 hours drive).
  • En route, stop at the spectacular Umiam Lake (Barapani) for panoramic waterscape views, relaxation, or optional speed boating.
  • Arrive in Shillong (the "Scotland of the East"), check into your hotel, and spend a vibrant evening exploring the local markets, boutiques, and cafes at Police Bazar.

Day 5: Shillong – Laitlum Canyons & City Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, drive to the breathtaking Laitlum Canyons, famous for its dramatic, plunging green valleys and mist-filled gorges.
  • Return to the city and explore the peaceful, manicured gardens surrounding Ward’s Lake.
  • Visit the spectacular Don Bosco Museum, an incredible multi-story repository celebrating the rich indigenous tribal cultures of Northeast India.
  • Spend the evening at leisure enjoying the famous local live music scene in Shillong.

Day 6: Shillong – Mawphlang Sacred Forest – Transfer to Cherrapunji

  • Start your morning with a journey to the ancient Mawphlang Sacred Forest. Take a guided walk with a local Khasi guide to learn about traditional tribal laws, myths, and incredible medicinal plants preserved for over 800 years.
  • Check out and drive toward Cherrapunji (Sohra), stopping at the thrilling Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint to admire the vast mountain gaps.
  • Explore the spectacular, hidden water paradise of the Garden of Caves, full of pristine streams and unique rock structures.
  • Check into your resort in Cherrapunji for a peaceful mountain evening.

Day 7: Cherrapunji – Waterfalls & Deep Cave Exploration

  • Spend a full day exploring why Cherrapunji is world-famous. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India, and the multi-tiered Seven Sisters Falls.
  • Hike a short distance to see the unique three-layered terrace pools of Wei Sawdong Falls.
  • Explore the ancient limestone formations, stalactites, and stalagmites inside the mystical Mawsmai Cave or the longer passages of Arwah Cave.
  • Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Day 8: Cherrapunji – Living Root Bridge Trek – Transfer to Shnongpdeng

  • After an early breakfast, head out for the iconic trek down to Tyrna village to witness the astonishing **Double-Decker Living Root Bridge**, a living marvel of bio-engineering created by generations of the Khasi tribe.
  • *Alternative option:* For guests who prefer not to trek down the stairs, we can arrange a visit to beautiful, easily accessible single root bridges instead.
  • After the trek, drive towards the border town of Dawki and proceed directly to the riverside camping village of **Shnongpdeng**.
  • Overnight stay in riverside tents or local homestays in Shnongpdeng / Dawki.

Day 9: Shnongpdeng River Adventures – Mawlynnong Cleanest Village – Return to Shillong

  • Wake up right next to the crystal-clear waters of the **Umngot River**. Enjoy a magical boat ride where the water is so clear that the boat looks like it's floating in mid-air.
  • Spend the morning enjoying optional water adventure sports like kayaking, zip-lining, cliff jumping, and see the beautiful **Bophill Falls**.
  • Drive to **Mawlynnong**, celebrated as Asia's Cleanest Village. Stroll through its pristine, flower-lined pathways, see the unique **Balancing Rock**, and scale the **4+2 Viewpoint** for a panoramic look into the plains of Bangladesh.
  • Drive back up to Shillong in the evening.

Day 10: Shillong – Guwahati Departure

  • Enjoy a hearty, relaxing breakfast at your hotel before checking out.
  • Begin your descent back down the rolling hills toward the plains of Assam (approx. 3.5 hours drive).
  • Transfer directly to Guwahati Airport (GAU) or the Railway Station for your onward departure journey, taking home the grand memories of Assam and Meghalaya.
